REPULSION's SCOTT CARLSON: What's In My Bag?

July 4, 2009

Scott Carlson (REPULSION, CATHEDRAL) is featured in Amoeba Music's "What's In My Bag?" segment in which he talks about his favorite records. Watch the clip below. Also available is footage of REPULSION performing a cover of the VENOM classic "Schizo" on June 19, 2009 at the Hellfest in Clisson, France (clip uploaded by Dave Ingham a.k.a. YouTube user "triptykon").

REPULSION is an influential grindcore/death metal band from Flint, Michigan. Their material enjoyed modest, albeit posthumous, exposure when U.K. grindcore pioneers CARCASS distributed a REPULSION compilation titled "Horrified" on their own Necrosis Records label; a subsidiary of Earache Records. With interest in REPULSION rekindled, the band decided to reform in 1990. Relapse re-released "Horrified" again in 2003, drawing attention to REPULSION once more, and prompting the band to resume concert appearances.

Various bands have recorded covers of REPULSION songs, including NAPALM DEATH, IMPALED and ENTOMBED.
