RESURRECTION Completes Recording Drums For New Album

February 27, 2008

Tampa death metallers and former Nuclear Blast recording artists RESURRECTION, who had moderate success with their debut album "Embalmed Existence" (1993),have finished recording drums for their new album, "Mistaken for Dead", due on May 9 via Massacre Records.

Comments drummer Gus Rios: "This is by far the best sounding recording that I have ever been a part of either as a producer or musician. The room sounded tight, my Spaun drum kit was perfectly tuned and sounding sick, and there was a real good vibe this past week as the drums were getting tracked. We got some real killer natural and very heavy tones at Beiler Bros. [studios]. This album is also my best performance to date. We are all excited about getting this album out and supporting it on the road."

Drum tracking took place at Beiler Bros. Studios in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida with Matt Laplant (NON-POINT, SIKTH) engineering. The remaining production is being handled by guitarist-turned-producer James Murphy.

"Mistaken for Dead" track listing:

01. Buried Alive
02. Unholy
03. A Thirst For Flesh
04. Coward
05. X-ile
06. The Deciever
07. Ritual Slaughter
08. Death By Desire
09. Perils of Burden

RESURRECTION has been confirmed for the 2008 edition of the Death Feast Open Air festival, set to take place June 12-14, 2008 in Hünxe, Germany. This festival will either start or end a RESURRECTION three-week European tour that will be announced at a later time.
