RESURRECTION To Release New Album In May

January 7, 2008

Tampa death metallers and former Nuclear Blast recording artists RESURRECTION, who had moderate success with their debut album "Embalmed Existence" (1993),have issued the following update:

"Pre-production has begun for our new album slated for release worldwide on May 4, 2008. The songs are coming together very nicely and following a similar formula as our 'Embalmed' album and drummer Gus Rios is a perfect fit for our style of metal."

Commented RESURRECTION guitarist and founding member John Astl: "This album will surprise the metal community. It's like we have picked up where we left off before we broke up in '96!! We are holding true to our death metal roots and style of playing and hope that the younger generation of metalheads will see what Florida death metal is all about. Songtitles so far are: 'Buried Alive', 'Coward', 'Death By Desire'. The album is as of yet untitled and will be released via Massacre Records in Europe and Index Entertainment for the rest of the world."

RESURRECTION has been confirmed for the 2008 edition of the Death Feast Open Air festival, set to take place June 12-14, 2008 in Hünxe, Germany. This festival will either start or end a RESURRECTION three-week European tour that will be announced at a later time.
