Reunited EASY ACTION To Open For TWISTED SISTER In Sweden

October 11, 2007

Reunited '80s Swedish glam-rock band EASY ACTION, featuring original members Kee Marcello (real name: Kjell Lövbom; guitar; EUROPE) and Zinny J. Zan (real name: Bo Stagman; vocals; SHOTGUN MESSIAH),will support TWISTED SISTER on their two upcoming Swedish shows:

Nov. 13 - Gothenburg, SWE @ Lisebergshallen
Nov. 14 = Stockholm, SWE @ Solnahallen

According to Tartarean Desire, EASY ACTION was formed in Stockholm in 1982 by Marcello and Per-Olof "Tyrone" Thyrén (bass). The band name was stolen from another similar Stockholm-based band who had released two singles for EMI. In 1983 they issued their self-titled debut album and had a minor hit in Sweden with the song "We Go Rocking" (view video below),a track whose chorus was allegedly "stolen" by POISON for their U.S. smash-hit "I Want Action" (EASY ACTION reportedly took POISON to court over the matter and were awarded a financial settlement in the case). The band broke up around 1986 after having recorded "That Makes One". Tommy Nilsson (vocals, 1985-1986) went on to a successful solo career as a pop singer. In 1985 the band appeared in the thriller film "Blood Tracks" by legendary B-movie producer Mats-Helge Olsson.

EASY ACTION's self-titled debut album will be released on CD for the first time on November 21 through Deaf & Dumb Records. The new edition of the album will include nine bonus tracks.
