Reunited WINTER Confirmed For Holland's ROADBURN Festival

19 years after the band split in 1992, New York's cult doom band WINTER has reformed and will play at the Roadburn festival in Tilburg, Holland next April. The band will perform on Friday, April 15 at the 013 vnue as part of SUNN O)))'s curated day along with EARTH, SCORN, BEAVER, ALUK TODOLO, MENACE RUINE, HOODED MENACE, THE SECRET and Atilla Csihar's VOID OV VOICES.

As curator, SUNN O))) (Greg Anderson and Stephen O'Malley) are personally selecting the bands that will play during their special event, as well as performing a headlining show. SUNN O))) is Roadburn's fourth curator, following David Tibet in 2008, NEUROSIS in 2009 and TRIPTYKON's Tom Gabriel Warrior at this year's festival in April.

Also newly confirmed for Roadburn festival 2011 are BLACK MATH HORSEMAN and Steve Austin's TODAY IS THE DAY.

Tickets for Roadburn 2011, including the Afterburner, will go on sale Saturday, November 27 online through Ticketmaster.nl and at the 013 venue box office.

Sponsored by Terrorizer and Germany's Rock Hard, the 2011 edition of the Roadburn festival will include GODFLESH's performance of its seminal debut full-length album, 1989's "Streetcleaner", in its entirety, SUNN O)))'s special event, headliner SWANS, CANDLEMASS celebrating 25 years of doom (including a performance of the "Epicus Doomicus Metallicus" album in its entirety; featuring original vocalist Johan Längquist),WOVENHAND and WARDRUNA (the dark ambient folk project led by former GORGOROTH drummer Kvitrafn).
