REVEREND Bassist Enlists In The United States Air Force
January 26, 2008Texas-based metallers REVEREND have issued the following update:
"REVEREND/BYFIST bassist Brendon Kyle has enlisted in the United States Air Force and to say the least we are very proud of him. Brendon has been sworn in and will become active duty in mid-February 2008. As much as we will miss him, we understand his passion and desire for duty to his country and applaud him all the way. We wish Brendon a safe and rewarding career in the military and hope to see him banging his bass once again down the line."
REVEREND is still working on its new CD, which was recorded at Blue Cat Studios with Grammy Award-wining producer Joe Trevino. The album, tentatively titled "Crossing Over", will include the last lyrics penned by late REVEREND/METAL CHURCH singer David Wayne, titled "With This Needle I Thee Wed". "This song will no doubt be a controversial song, but is aimed at the addictions of life, and how it changes people forever," the band previously explained in a press release.
Songtitles set to appear on the album include (in no particular order):
01. In the End
02. Epitaph
03. Prelude
04. Darkened Horizon
05. Ships of Illusion
06. Visions
07. With This Needle I Thee Wed
08. Universal Metal
09. River of Hate (Styx)
10. Unconscious Suicide
The upcoming CD will be the group's first with new frontman Michael Lance (ex-ANCIENT CROSS),who replaced David Wayne in 2006.
Wayne died on May 10, 2005 due to complications from injuries he sustained in a head-on automobile accident several months earlier. He was 47 years old.
