REVEREND Dropped From JUDAS PRIEST Show In Texas

July 25, 2002

REVEREND, featuring former METAL CHURCH/current WAYNE frontman David Wayne, and BYFIST guitarists Davey Lee and Notch Vara, have been dropped from the JUDAS PRIEST/BUDGIE show at the Sunken Garden Theater in San Antonio Texas on August 2nd. The band are said to be "disappointed" with the decision by the event's organizers to remove them from the bill, but promise that the rest of their short tour will be "kick-ass".

As you may recall, REVEREND pulled out of their appearance at Abrasive Rock Fest, which is scheduled to take place in Olympia, Washington on August 3rd, in order to appear at the PRIEST/BUDGIE show the night before, citing " a rare opportunity for us, one we'll likely never get again", to perform alongside one of the group's all-time favorite bands and main influences.
