REVEREND To Headline TEXAS METAL HEALTH Benefit Concert
June 3, 2007PICC Line Productions has announced the details of the fifth annual Texas Metal Health concert, an established fundraiser benefiting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, to be held at Sam's Burger Joint in San Antonio, Texas on August 18, 2007.
The 2007 show is a celebration of metal featuring a variety of metal bands — both old and new school — including REVEREND, TENSION SPEAK, AWAKEN THE FALLEN, AMERICULT and DAMIJ.

REVEREND's upcoming CD, which was recorded at Blue Cat Studios with Grammy Award-wining producer Joe Trevino, will include the last lyrics penned by late REVEREND/METAL CHURCH singer David Wayne, titled "With This Needle I Thee Wed". "This song will no doubt be a controversial song, but is aimed at the addictions of life, and how it changes people forever," the band previously explained in a press release. The upcoming CD will be the group's first with new frontman Michael Lance (ex-ANCIENT CROSS),who replaced David Wayne last year.
Wayne died on May 10, 2005 due to complications from injuries he sustained in a head-on automobile accident several months earlier. He was 47 years old.
