RIBSPREADER Begin Work On New Material

May 1, 2005

Swedish "old-school death metal" band RIBSPREADER have posted the following message on their official web site:

"Well, the new album ['Congregating the Sick'] will be out May 2nd, so be sure to get it. Or not. Anyway, it's a bunch of fucken old-school songs just like the first one, even if they're not better in any way.

"As for other news we have some more new material recorded, and soon even more than that. So where is all this going? Fuck if I know, but any labels/bands interested in doing minis, splits or vinyl are welcome to contact us with proposals."

The follow-up to 2004's "Bolted to the Cross", "Congregating the Sick" was recorded at Soundlab Studios in Örebro, Sweden by Mieszko Talarczyk (NASUM, ROTTEN SOUND, INSISION). The album was mastered at The Room by Dan Swanö.

RIBSPREADER recently underwent several lineup changes with the departure of guitarist/bassist Andreas Carlsson (ANOTHER LIFE),guitarist Dan Swanö (BLOODBATH, EDGE OF SANITY, NIGHTINGALE) and drummer Johan Berglund (THIS HAVEN). The group's new lineup is as follows:

Rogga Johansson - Guitar, vocals
Patrik Halvarsson - Bass
Mattias Fiebig - Drums
