January 15, 2009

Outlaw Video TV conducted an interview with vocalist Bruce Corbitt and bassist Casey Orr of veteran Texas thrashers RIGOR MORTIS earlier this week. In addition to discussing all kind of RIGOR MORTIS-related topics, Casey and Bruce paid tribute to Abboud "Ab" Greig, owner of the Joe's Garage venue in Fort Worth, Texas where bands like PANTERA and RIGOR MORTIS got their start.

Watch the nine-minute chat below.

According to Star-Telegram.com, Greig, 74, was found shot in the head in north Fort Worth this past Monday. He died at John Peter Smith Hospital at 8:30 p.m..

Lt. Paul Henderson, a police spokesman, said witnesses told police they saw Greig stop his truck about 4:40 p.m. in the 2800 block of Lorraine Street.

Two juveniles — a male and a female — were in the passenger seat. Witnesses heard "a loud pop" and then saw the juveniles run off, he said.
