RINGWORM: U.S. Tour Canceled

September 26, 2011

Due to circumstances beyond their control, Cleveland, Ohio hardcore heavyweights RINGWORM have been forced to cancel their previously announced U.S. tour. The trek, which was slated to kick off on October 24 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, was supposed to feature support from Long Beach's THE GREENERY (Prosthetic Records).

RINGWORM's fifth album, "Scars", came out on July 19 via Victory Records.

Twenty years after its 1991 birth, RINGWORM "rise above with the brutal new release to remind fans why they are the pioneering visionaries of the hardcore genre known as 'crossover,'" according to a press release. The extreme hardcore veterans fiercely knock out the competition with the unleashing of their most heavy-hitting, thrash-inspired metal album yet. The onslaught of dancing guitars, poly-rhythmic drums, and raw vocals is what has shot RINGWORM to the apex of the metal scene.

"After two decades of combating the world with pure metal talent, RINGWORM stands strong as a quintet of music masterminds that show no signs of slowing down anytime soon."

RINGWORM is:

James "Human Furnace" Bulloch - Vocals
Matt Sorg - Guitar
John Comprix - Guitar
Mike Lare - Bass
Danny Zink - Drums
