RIOT: Audio Interview With Reunited 'Thundersteel' Lineup Posted Online

Metal Express Radio conducted an interview with the entire reunited "Thundersteel"/"The Privilege of Power"-era lineup of RIOTMark Reale (guitar),Tony Moore (vocals),Don Van Stavern (bass),Bobby Jarzombek (drums),and Mike Flyntz (guitars) — at the Sweden Rock festival in Sölvesborg, Sweden on June 6, 2009. The 18-minute chat is now available for streaming at this location.

RIOT is currently writing material for a new studio album, which is tentatively set to be recorded over the summer for a late 2009 release. One of the new songs, "Wings Are For Angels", was performed for the first time at Sweden Rock.

RIOT has announced three October shows in Japan, one of the band's premier markets going back to the classic "Rock City" days. Reale says, "We're excited to once again have the opportunity to play for our Japanese fans who've been so supportive over the years. This particular lineup only made it to Japan once before so this will be extra special for both us and the fans. "

The dates are as follows:

Oct. 23 - Shangri-La - Osaka, Japan
Oct. 24 - Club Citta - Kawasaki, Japan
Oct. 25 - Club Citta - Kawasaki, Japan

RIOT is scheduled to make another festival appearance this month at the Metalway festival in Spain on June 20.
