RIOT Guitarist Says Band's Contribution To Japan Earthquake Relief CD 'Came Out Amazing'
May 1, 2011"Wings Are For Angels", a brand new song from the reunited "Thundersteel" lineup of U.S. metal veterans RIOT, will be featured on a Japan earthquake and tsunami relief CD, to be released later this month via Marquee/Avalon. The track, which was mixed by Bruno Ravel (DANGER DANGER),"came out amazing," according to guitarist Mark Reale.
RIOT performed "Wings Are For Angels" for the first time at the Sweden Rock Festival on June 6, 2009.
RIOT is continuing work its next studio album, tentatively due later in the year.
The group last year reunited with Tony Moore — only nine months after announcing that they were parting ways with the vocalist over "differences about how to proceed with the future of the band."
Sony Music reissued RIOT's classic albums "Thundersteel" (1988) and "The Privilege Of Power" (1990) albums in October 2009 via HMV Japan. Each CD was digitally remastered and contains bonus tracks.
