RIPPED OFF FACE: First And Final Full-Length Album Available For Free Download

January 7, 2009

Virginia-based RIPPED OFF FACE has made its first and final full-length album, "We Are the State", available for free download at this location. Virginia-based all-digital extreme metal label Metalhit.com has also stepped in to make the album available at its web site as well as numerous other retailers like iTunes, eMusic, Amazon MP3, etc. Some popular retailers will have the album available for free while others will carry it as a low-priced EP.

According to a press release, "a train of torturous vocals, devastating melodies and crushing rhythms make RIPPED OFF FACE live up to their name with their assault of enlightened lyrical ingenuity and mind opening metal."

RIPPED OFF FACE announced its decision to disband in October 2008, explaining in a statement, "Ever since this band began in November of 2006, it has been a non-stop second job for all of us. After finally solidifying the line up this year, all four members have become an integral force creatively, to the point where if we lost one person it would honestly feel wrong to carry on without them. With that said we determined that it was just not possible to continue 100%. In all honesty anything below going full steam ahead would just feel wrong as well."

RIPPED OFF FACE is/was:

Gary Ledbetter - Voice
Danny Michael - Drums
Stephen Juliano - Guitar
Tim Dawson - Bass
