RISE TO ADDICTION Announces One-Off UK Show

August 5, 2008

RISE TO ADDICTION — the UK–based band which features in its ranks former BLAZE members John Slater (guitar) and Steve Wray (guitar) — will take a break from recording its new album to play West Riding in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire on Friday, August 29.

RISE TO ADDICTION recently entered the studio to begin recording its sophomore CD for a late 2008 release. Singer Leigh Oates states, "We've ended up with 10 songs that we're all really happy with, I know it sounds a bit cliché but we really think that these songs are the best work any of us have ever put our name to." Songtitles set to appear on the self-produced CD include "Fade Away", "Fallen From Grace", "Home", "Indelible", "Numb", "One More Time", "Outside", "Scars We Wear", "Sick Of Me" and "The Whisper".

RISE TO ADDICTION in January released the video for the song "One Sweet Minute". Watch it below.

"One Sweet Minute" comes off RISE TO ADDICTION's debut album, "A New Shade of Black for the Soul", which was released in the U.S. on October 9, 2007 via Mausoleum Records. The CD, which came out in May 2007 in Europe via Mausoleum, was produced by Andy Sneap (MACHINE HEAD, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, TRIVIUM, MEGADETH).
