RISE TO ADDICTION Signs With MAUSOLEUM RECORDS
February 16, 2007Rising U.K. rockers RISE TO ADDICTION, who feature in their ranks former BLAZE members John Slater (guitar) and Steve Wray (guitar),have signed a worldwide deal with legendary Belgian metal label Mausoleum Records. The band's debut album, "A New Shade of Black for the Soul", was produced by Andy Sneap (MACHINE HEAD, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, TRIVIUM, MEGADETH) and is scheduled for release in May. Finishing touches are currently being made to the artwork. Full details are expected to be announced shortly.
Commenting on the signing, RTA vocalist Leigh Oates said, "We wanted to go with a label that really understands the metal market, and Mausoleum have a great track record."
RISE TO ADDICTION, whose music is described as a distinctive modern sound with melody and slab heavy riffing, released its self-titled EP in 2005 through Madman Records. Also produced by Andy Sneap, it features three tracks — "Falling As One", "Everlasting Wave", "To A God Unknown" — and also includes the promo video for the EP's opening track.
As previously reported, RISE TO ADDICTION has been confirmed for the 2007 edition of the Bloodstock Open Air festival, set to take place July 6-7 at Catton Hall in Derbyshire, England.
