RIVERDOGS Back In The Studio With Six New Songs

July 21, 2004

Vintage rock band RIVERDOGS, featuring guitarist Vivian Campbell (DEF LEPPARD, ex-DIO, WHITESNAKE),are in the process of recording a new album. The group have six songs on tape, and are recording as schedules permit. Live performances are planned in Los Angeles and San Diego at the end of August to coincide with the 2004 NARM convention.

Even as RIVERDOGS' individual members went on to forge lucrative careers after the band ceased to formally exist, they continued to get together and play for grins, traveling thousands of miles to attend rehearsals that they dubbed "musical summer camp." Vivian, who attained early guitar hero status while still a teenager for his work with DIO, joined LEPPARD. Rob released nine solo recordings, signed a publishing deal with Nettwork America and became an in-demand producer. Bassist Nick Brophy established himself as a producer and engineer, working with EVERCLEAR, the ROLLING STONES, and HOOTIE AND THE BLOWFISH among others, while drummer Marc Danzeisen became a first-call session player, with credits that include drumming on Gilby Clarke's (ex-GUNS N' ROSES) "Pawnshop Guitars".
