ROB HALFORD Speaking For Everyone On New Single

December 13, 2006

Launch Radio Networks reports: Rob Halford has stepped away from JUDAS PRIEST for a moment to release some solo material. The frontman has reissued his solo work through his own Metal God Entertainment label, and he's also released a new single called "Forgotten Generation" (listen to the track at MP3.com). The song deals with alienation, and Halford told Launch that he wrote the lyrics to speak to and for everyone. "To me, it means the assertation of every individual to kind of have a voice that's valuable and needs to be heard," he said. "So I'm talking about hypocrisy, I'm talking about, you know, speaking up and letting your feelings be felt and heard, and not being passed by, and that's just a streak that I carry with me, I'm the eternal optimist, in that respect."

Halford's music is available on iTunes and through the official RobHalford.com web site.

Halford and JUDAS PRIEST are deep into a concept album about the prophet Nostradamus, which should be out next year.
