Even though Zombie told The Pulse of Radio that the "Halloween" production was a "whirlwind" since the movie was first announced last year, the writer-director said he couldn't be happier with the results. "You know, right now I'm exhausted with it, but I'm totally happy with it and thrilled with it," he said. "You go through these moments, 'cause you work on something so much that you'll have a moment one day where you're like, 'This is the greatest thing ever, I love it!' And then the next day you'll go, 'I'm completely confused by what we're doing right now.' But I've had enough good, you know, I'm totally thrilled with it."
The original 1978 movie, directed by John Carpenter, told the story of psychopathic killer Michael Myers, who returns to his hometown to terrorize three babysitters and their friends on Halloween night.
Zombie's version explores more of Myers' life as a child and how he became a masked monster. The movie stars Tyler Mane as the adult Myers, Malcolm McDowell as his psychiatrist and Scout Taylor-Compton as Laurie, the babysitter played in the original by Jamie Lee Curtis.
Zombie's previous films are "House of 1000 Corpses" and "The Devil's Rejects".
