ROB ZOMBIE Back To Work On Animated Monster Movie
January 30, 2008The Pulse of Radio reports that Rob Zombie updated the official MySpace page for his animated movie, "The Haunted World of El Superbeasto", on Monday (January 28),indicating that he had completed his tour with OZZY OSBOURNE and was ready to resume work on the film. Zombie wrote, "Well, the tour is over and now it is 'Superbeasto' time. Starting on Monday, I am back and ready to kick ass on 'Beasto'. Stay tuned this thing is coming your way soon! Finally!" The adult-oriented animated flick is based on a character Zombie created for his Spookshow International series of comic books a few years back.
Although Zombie hinted last year that he was writing some new songs for the "Superbeasto" soundtrack, he said in a recent conference call with reporters that he hadn't settled on music for the film yet. "Musically, that's the only aspect that's not finished, so we're still working on that," he said. "Glenn Garland, who was, well, he did 'Halloween' for me and then we cut the director's cut, he is now editing 'Superbeasto', so that is pretty much almost a hundred percent done. I mean, it's basically finished."
Actor Paul Giamatti and Zombie's wife, Sheri Moon Zombie, have both contributed their voices to "El Superbeasto".
The unrated director's cut of Zombie's latest film, a remake of the horror classic "Halloween", arrived on DVD last month after becoming a surprise box office hit in September.
Zombie has been on the road since last fall with Ozzy, touring in support of his first-ever concert album, "Zombie Live".
