ROB ZOMBIE Bassist Launches BLACK VICTORY

March 3, 2007

ROB ZOMBIE bassist Piggy D has launched a project-development company and custom rock 'n' roll clothing line called Black Victory.

Black Victory was founded in New Orleans Louisiana in 2005 just prior to Hurricane Katrina. "The name of the company took on a whole new meaning after the devastation," Piggy says. "It became a symbol for those who rise above adversity and hard times. Out of a tragedy comes something victorious, massive and new."

In return for the inspiration, Black Victory donates a portion of all proceeds to the Habitat for Humanity Musicians Village project, a charity that rebuild housing in the New Orleans area for musicians who were displaced.

Black Victory is not just a clothing company — it is now a project-development company for indie bands and artists providing photography, graphic design, web promo and design, as well as video/music production. Nowhere else can you find a dedicated group of artists providing you with photography, album art, marketing, and a web site at a competitive price. This seasoned team of industry vets now includes world-renowned rock photographer Gabrielle Geiselman.

The first artist to use almost all of Black Victory's resources was John 5 (ROB ZOMBIE, ex-MARILYN MANSON). Black Victory designed the album and promo art, clothes, and video marketing campaign for John 5's new album "The Devil Knows My Name", due on April 3 through 60 Cycle Hum Records.

"John was great to work with," says Piggy. "He is a very visual artist."

The online store for Black Victory has officially opened and offers a variety of hand distressed shirts, jackets and pants. In addition, clients have the option of sending in their own favorite clothing to be treated.

"We firmly believe in the recycling of old clothes, and bringing them back to life," says Piggy. "It sets us apart from other companies that make clothes specific to the mainstream body type. This way everyone can own their own piece of wearable rock n' roll art!"
