ROB ZOMBIE Bassist PIGGY D. Releases New Solo Single
October 4, 2010ROB ZOMBIE bassist Matt Montgomery (a.k.a. Piggy D.) has just released a new solo single, "Can't Blame You", via Amazon.com. The track, which features a guest appearance by Dave Pino (a.k.a. Velkro) from POWERMAN 5000 on lead guitar, was written by Montgomery and David Spreng (VALIENT THORR, DAMONE),who co-produced Piggy D.'s 2007 debut solo album, "The Evacuation Plan".
Montgomery has announced plans to release a new solo single every month for the next several months. A couple of weeks after each track is made available, a video for that particular song will also be released.
"The Evacuation Plan" featured Tommy Clufetos (OZZY OSBOURNE, ROB ZOMBIE) on all drum tracks and Alice Cooper's daughter Calico on some guest vocals. Spreng co-produced the album and took care of the mixing duties as well. The CD featured 12 songs that documented the year and half that followed Piggy D.'s evacuation from a devastated New Orleans.
Piggy previously stated about the "The Evacuation Plan" CD, "This record doesn't sound like any band I've ever been in. If fans of my former bands dig it, that's cool; if not, that's fine too. I plan on being around for a while playing music that I love on stage and on records."
