ROB ZOMBIE Film 'American Witch' Video In Colorado, Utah

ROB ZOMBIE filmed footage for the "American Witch" music video on Monday, April 17 during his band's headlining appearance at the Fillmore Auditorium in Denver Colorado. According to one concert attendee, "After a double encore, Rob Zombie said because Denver was such a good crowd, they would play 'American Witch' a second time and film for the 'American Witch' music video. Rob Zombie originally planned on filming in L.A., but decided to film in Denver because of the crowd." [UPDATE: Zombie apparently said the same thing to the crowd attending his April 18 show in Magna, Utah.]

"American Witch" comes off Zombie's new album, "Educated Horses", which has sold 188,000 copies in the United States since its March 28 release, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The CD was recorded at Los Angeles' Chop Shop Studios with co-producer Scott Humphrey, who had previously worked with Rob on the platinum hits "Hellbilly Deluxe" and "The Sinister Urge". Other musicians contributing to the CD include Josh Freese (A PERFECT CIRCLE, VANDALS) and Tommy Lee (MÖTLEY CRÜE).

"Educated Horses" is the former WHITE ZOMBIE vocalist's first collection of new music since 2001's "The Sinister Urge", following a break in which he wrote and directed his first two feature films, "House of 1000 Corpses" and "The Devil's Rejects".

Zombie is currently scripting his next feature film, but has not yet announced what it will be. An animated movie based on his El Superbeasto comic book character is due out sometime later this year.
