ROB ZOMBIE Interviewed On AUX's 'Hard'

March 5, 2010

Rob Zombie was interviewed for an episode of "Hard" on the recently launched AUX music channel out of Canada. The segment can be viewed below.

SLIPKNOT drummer Joey Jordison will be behind the kit as part of Rob Zombie's touring band this spring and summer, according to a press release issued on Thursday (March 4) by the publicist for both artists. Zombie said in a statement, "Joey is an absolutely crushing drummer and I am thrilled to have him as part of the Zombie family. His amazing skills promise to take the live show to a whole new level of insanity."

Jordison added, "I am honored, proud and excited to announce that I have joined the ranks as the new touring drummer for Rob Zombie. I've been a fan of Zombie's since the beginning. I've toured with them and have always wanted to play for them. When (Zombie guitarist) John 5 called me up to ask if I knew any drummers I could recommend, I said, only half-jokingly, 'Yeah, me!'"

Jordison will join Zombie's band for a short series of North American shows this spring with ALICE COOPER, as well as on this summer's Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, which Zombie is co-headlining with KORN.

Jordison also said, "I want to thank all the SLIPKNOT fans for their support and the Rob Zombie fans for welcoming me in."

The drummer will make his live debut with Zombie at the 2010 Revolver Golden Gods Awards, scheduled for April 8 at Club Nokia in Los Angeles.

No official reason was given for the departure of previous Zombie drummer Tommy Clufetos, who was not even mentioned in the press release. Clufetos played on Zombie's new album, "Hellbilly Deluxe 2", and has been touring with him since 2006.

Jordison has had some time off since SLIPKNOT finished touring behind its "All Hope Is Gone" album late last year.
