ROB ZOMBIE Talks About His Favorite Cinema Soundtrack

Musician-turned-filmmaker Rob Zombie recently spoke to RollingStone.com about his personal favorite cinema soundtrack: "Clockwork Orange".

"I started listening to the soundtrack to 'A Clockwork Orange' when I was sixteen and didn't know much about classical music at all," he said. "But the movie blew me away so much that it made a form of music that I paid no attention to totally fascinating to me. Now whenever I hear any of those songs, I immediately think of the movie, and that's how you know a soundtrack did its job."

Rob Zombie recently issued a brief update on the progress of his next studio album. Zombie wrote online, "Work on the new album is moving along great. We have about 10 songs so far and are still writing away like maniacs. No release date as of yet."

Zombie's next studio effort will follow up 2006's "Educated Horses", which was his third solo CD. He also released his first concert recording, "Zombie - Live", late last year. Although he's still apparently committed to making music, Zombie recently told Metal Edge magazine that the record labels are "dinosaurs waiting to die."

The rocker-turned-filmmaker is also working on his next movie as screenwriter and director, titled "Tyrannosaurus Rex". The movie is rumored to be about a semi-professional wrestler who is being pursued by a "biker gang from hell."

The film is due out on August 28, 2009 and will follow Zombie's hit 2007 remake of "Halloween".

Zombie's upcoming animated film, "The Haunted World of El Superbeasto", is due out sometime this year.
