ROB ZOMBIE: Unrated Director's Cut Of 'Halloween II' Due Next Week

January 8, 2010

The unrated director's cut of Rob Zombie's fourth movie as a screenwriter and director, "Halloween II", will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on Tuesday, January 12.

"Halloween II", the follow-up to Zombie's successful 2007 remake of the original 1978 horror classic, came in at No. 3 in its opening weekend last August, earning $17 million at the box office. That's far less than the $31 million his first "Halloween" flick did two and half years ago.

Prior to entering the film world, hard rocker Zombie scored a series of multiplatinum albums — 1992's "La Sexorcisto", 1995's "Astro-Creep: 2000", and 1998's "Hellbilly Deluxe" — as well as platinum with 2001's "The Sinister Urge" and 2003's greatest hits collection "Past, Present & Future".

In addition to his recording career, Rob Zombie has written and directed several successful feature films, including "House of 1000 Corpses", the sequel, "The Devil's Rejects", and was the producer, writer and director of the animated film "The Haunted World of El Superbeasto", based on his comic book series, "The Adventures of El Superbeasto".
