July 23, 2007

Rod Stetzer of Chippewa Falls, WI's Chippewa.com reports: A man affiliated with one of the bands playing at Rock Fest in Cadott has been arrested Friday for selling counterfeit VIP tickets to the fest.

A small amount of what was thought to be be meth was also found in a search of Randy Dieter of Nevada, Chippewa County Sheriff James Kowalczyk said.

He said it appears a copier was used to make the counterfeit tickets, and that Dieter was connected to one of bands playing the fest.

The incident unfolded Friday after Rock Fest security found two people with VIP tickets that had been counterfeited. They reported buying the tickets at Highway 27 and O.

Thursday's top acts included THE NEW CARS and DEEP PURPLE. Friday's main acts at Rock Fest included SALIVA, UNCLE KRACKER, GRAND FUNK RAILROAD, FUEL and GODSMACK.
