'Rock Star' Co-Host NAVARRO Comments On STORM And MAGNI's Dismissal From SUPERNOVA Tour

October 12, 2006

THE PANIC CHANNEL guitarist and "Rock Star: Supernova" co-host Dave Navarro has commented on the news that two of the show's contestants — Portland performer Storm Large along with Icelandic rocker Magni Asgeirsson — were bounced from the upcoming ROCK STAR SUPERNOVA tour, which is scheduled to launch in January.

In a posting on his web site, Navarro wrote, "I found out last night that Storm, Magni and The House Band are no longer coming on tour with SUPERNOVA. It was actually Storm herself who told me about it. I really had no idea why so I looked it up and found this article. That really sucks! I loved working with Storm on her song 'Ladylike' and The House Band, apart from being my friends, will really be missed. They are an undeniably talented force and in my opinion, kept the show from being an 'Idol' clone and made it a credible and legitimate rock show. Supposedly there is more information on Magni's site, but I was unable to find it this morning."

TMZ.com is reporting that the shows finalists, Australian Toby Rand and Dilana Robichaux, are still on the bill. They will be backed, however, by Rand's group JUKE KARTEL.
