RONNIE JAMES DIO Sends Cease-And-Desist Letter To Pop Band DIOS

Hawthorne, California-based pop band DIOS were recently threatened by veteran heavy metal singer Ronnie James Dio over the group's name, which Ronnie felt was too close to that of his own solo band. "Ronnie James Dio's lawyer sent us a cease-and-desist letter," DIOS singer-guitarist Joel Morales told the Contra Costa Times. "It's kinda funny. He said we would confuse (Dio's) public, so we might make (our name) into an acronym. But hey, Dio has heard of us, so we feel good."
