ROSE TATTOO Guitarist ROBIN RILEY Not Diagnosed With Cancer
August 21, 2009Contrary to a posting on the web site of the Knitting Factory in Hollywood, California (see below),ROSE TATTOO guitarist Robin Riley has not been diagnosed with cancer. Singer Angry Anderson says, "Rockin' Rob is doing fine, but needs surgery this October." As a result, the band's previously announced U.S. tour — which was set to include a date at the Knitting Factory — has been cancelled. ROSE TATTOO is hoping to make up the dates in early 2010.
ROSE TATTOO took part in a special benefit concert called One Of The Boys on July 24 at the Enmore Theatre in Sydney. Proceeds from the show went to Mick Cocks, guitarist and founding member of ROSE TATTOO, who has been diagnosed with liver cancer and secondary tumors in the lungs.
ROSE TATTOO guitarist Pete Wells passed away in March 2006 after a long battle with prostate cancer.
