ROTTING CHRIST Sign With SEASON OF MIST

October 18, 2005

Legendary Greek death metallers ROTTING CHRIST have inked a deal with Season of Mist. The band are expected to enter the studio during the coming months to begin recording a new studio album, tentatively due in early 2006.

In an interview with Vincent Eldefors, the chief editor of Sweden's Tartarean Desire, conducted on September 22, 2005, ROTTING CHRIST band leader Sakis Tolis revealed that NIGHTFALL guitarist George Bokos has joined the band on tour. He replaces former guitarist Kostas, who left the group in July 2004. It has not yet been decided if George will join the band on a permanent basis but so far everything is working out well, according to Sakis. In the same interview, which can be found online at TartareanDesire.com, Sakis talks about plans for a second DVD release, the group's split with Century Media Records, and MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine's refusal to share the bill with ROTTING CHRIST, among other topics.

ROTTING CHRIST's latest album, "Sanctus Diavolos", was released in September 2004 through Century Media Records. The follow-up to 2002's "Genesis" was produced by ROTTING CHRIST guitarist/vocalist Sakis Tolis at SCA Studios in Athens and was mixed by Fredrik Nordström at Studio Fredman in Gothenburg, Sweden.
