ROXXCALIBUR Hard At Work On Sophomore Album

August 16, 2010

German NWOBHM (New Wave Of British Heavy Metal) tribute band ROXXCALIBUR is hard at work on its second album which will feature cover versions of a number of "raw diamonds" from the NWOBHM, including tracks that were originally written and recorded by MORE, NO QUARTER, SARACEN, CRYER, OXYM and HOLLOW GROUND. The CD will be mixed by Chris Tsangarides (JUDAS PRIEST, THIN LIZZY, TYGERS OF PAN TANG) and will once again feature the cover artwork of Rodney Matthews.

Commented ROXXCALIBUR drummer Neudi: "Uwe Lulis did a great job on our first CD but this time we want to go to an original of the days of NWOBHM. And Chris really likes the idea behind ROXXCALIBUR! We will have our private ANVIL movie then!"

After the NWOBHM anniversary show at Germany's Keep It True festival in April 2009, where ROXXCALIBUR performed with such singers as Brian Ross (BLITZKRIEG, SATAN),Enid Williams (GIRLSCHOOL),Dave Hill (DEMON),Graham Shaw (BLEAK HOUSE),Terry Dark (JAMESON RAID) and Jess Cox (TYGERS OF PAN TANG),things started to roll and the band was invited to play the Bang Your Head!!! and Headbangers Open Air festivals.

Since early 2010, ROXXCALIBUR (minus singer Alexx) has also performed gigs under the SAVAGE GRACE moniker with original SAVAGE GRACE singer/songwriter Chris Logue, who wasn't able to resurrect the group with any original SG bandmembers from the Eighties.
