ROYAL HUNT Singer Says New Album Is Band's Best Record To Date

January 25, 2005

Denmark's ROYAL HUNT are currently at the North Point studio in Copenhagen recording their new album. The as-yet-untitled follow-up to 2003's "Eyewitness" is due in late spring/early summer. A studio update from the band's official web site follows:

"[Singer John West] has landed… John's vocal work — impeccable as usual — is done. Showing his heavier side quite a bit more this time, he swept through the entire album like a tornado: deep growls, chesty barks, piercing high-pitch screams, whisper to thunder — it's all there. 'ROYAL HUNT's best record yet' — he stated — 'There's no comparison, period. The band sounds stronger than I've ever imagined was possible — every single track's filled with remarkable energy. Can't even pick out a favorite song this time... love them all.'"

As previously reported, ROYAL HUNT recently announced the addition of guitarist Marcus Jidell (JEKYLL & HYDE, THE RING) to the group's ranks.
