September 14, 2009

Hobart, Tasmania-based black metal band RUINS will release its third album, "Front The Final Foes", on October 30 via Debemur Morti Productions. The CD was recorded, mixed and mastered at Red Planet (PSYCROPTIC) and Crawlspace Studios, and it "offers eight new compositions of eerily daunting yet thoroughly modern blackness, astutely conceived and precisely delivered," according to a press release.

The track listing is as follows:

01. Breath Of Void
02. The Sum Of Your Loss
03. Cult Rapture
04. Annihilate
05. Front The Final Foes
06. Hallways Of The Always
07. Keeping This Crown
08. With These Winged Words

Two tracks are now available for streaming on the band's MySpace page.

According to the band's official bio, RUINS "blends an ominous dark-death metal dynamic amidst their powerful, menacing and melancholic, yet eerily seductive black metal style; with a venomous, and summoning vocal presence."

The group's writing/recording nucleus consists of guitarist/vocalist Alex Pope and drummer Dave Haley.
