Rumored TOOL U.S. Dates Leaking Out

March 31, 2006

Launch Radio Networks reports: Sources have told Launch that TOOL is booking two concert dates in New York City for late May, with the dates and exact venue yet to be announced. The group is also rumored to be hitting several other cities that same month, including Seattle and Oakland. These shows will follow TOOL's April 30 headlining performance at the Coachella festival in Indio, California, which will be the band's first live appearance in the U.S. since 2002.

The group has also mapped out a European tour that extends from the end of May until mid-July, with full North American plans yet to be unveiled.

The first single from TOOL's new album, a seven-minute-plus cut called "Vicarious", will begin arriving at rock radio stations on or around April 17. The band's fourth full-length disc, "10,000 Days", will surface on May 2.

"10,000 Days" is the follow-up to TOOL's 2001 effort, "Lateralus". That album debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 and has sold over 2.3 million copies.
