RUNEMAGICK Begin Recording New Album

June 13, 2005

Swedish "dark death metal" act RUNEMAGICK have commenced the recording proces for their new album at Andy LaRocque's (KING DIAMOND) Los Angered Recording in Gothenburg, Sweden. "Daniel 'Mojjo' hammered his drums with fury and after two songs, the hihat, one crash and one china cymbal was broken... powerful drumming of doom!!" the band write on their web site. "Daniel recorded each song as one takes with great feeling as always."

The following tracks were recorded during the session:

01. Preludium Apocalypsis
02. Invocation of Doom Runes
03. Black Magick Sorceress
04. Fisher of Souls
05. "no title yet" (guitar instrumental)
06. The Devils (imperium magnum infernalis)

The band added: "As all the main material was recorded and done the day before, it was time to record a bonus track with the working title 'Runemagick' with Nicklas Rudolfsson behind the drums. And the first recording session for the upcoming album is done without any problems (except cymbal mayhem). Additional guitars, bass and vocals will probably be recorded during the summer and mix is planned later this fall."

As previously reported, Parasitic Records (U.S.) will release the vinyl version of RUNEMAGICK's "Envenom" album later this year. The remixed/remastered album will be released as a two-LP set with a gatefold cover and as bonus tracks.
