RUNEMAGICK Split With Guitarist
August 1, 2003Swedish "dark death metal" act RUNEMAGICK have parted ways with second guitarist Tomas Eriksson (ex-INTOXICATE, GROTESQUE, VALEDICTORY).
"Tomas has decided to leave RUNEMAGICK, maybe just for a while or forever... He feels that he must quit everything to gather new inspiration and try to get the feeling back. We wish him all the best and thanks him very much for his time with RUNEMAGICK so far. This will not be any problems for RUNEMAGICK! Will continue as a strong 3-piece lineup as we did on [the last CD] 'Darkness Death Doom'. So await a new monument of death and doom next year."
RUNEMAGICK will enter Magick Sound Studio in the winter to begin recording the new album, tentatively due in early 2004 through Aftermath Music. Among the tracks set to appear on the effort are "Monolithic Death", "Triumphant Darkness", "The Doomsday Scythe", "Sepulchral Aeons", "Celestial Purgatory", and "Postmortem Emperor".
