RUSH Guitarist ALEX LIFESON Performs At 'Andy Kim Christmas' Show; Video Available

RUSH guitarist took part in the annual Andy Kim Christmas show on December 10, 2008 at Toronto, Ontario, Canada's Mod Club.

Fan-filmed video footage of the show-closing performance with a guest star-laden musical collective jamming out on Andy Kim's hit "Rock Me Gently" (featuring Lifeson) can be viewed below.

In addition to Lifeson, the event featured appearances by Ron Sexsmith, Lawrence Gowan, Dru, THE KINGS, Emm Gryner, BROKEN SOCIAL SCENE's Kevin Drew and Brendan Canning.

All of the proceeds from the show will be donated to The Sanfilippo Children's Research Foundation. Children with Sanfilippo Syndrome are missing an essential enzyme that breaks down sugars, resulting in a build-up in the brain and other organs, ultimately stopping development. Most children don't live to adulthood.

According to ChartAttack.com, last year's extravaganza raised more than $10,000 for the Children's Aid Foundation.
