'RushCon/Force/10' Convention For RUSH Fans To Celebrate 10-Year Anniversary

RushCon/Force/10, a weekend-long convention for fans of the iconic Canadian rock band RUSH, will celebrate its 10-year anniversary by holding two conventions in both Toronto and Las Vegas.

Both conventions have been timed to coincide with RUSH's "Time Machine" tour dates in each city. Toronto's convention will take place July 16-18, 2010 at the Courtyard by Marriott in Downtown Toronto, Ontario. Las Vegas' "Mini-RushCon" will be held August 14, 2010 at Hooters Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

RushCon/Force/10 RushCon offers fans the unique opportunity to involve themselves in all aspects of RUSH's music and decades-long career. Events will include games, contests, trivia, vendors with rare and collectible merchandise, guest speakers, charity "RUSH memorabilia" auction, exclusive tour of Anthem Records (Toronto only),group trips to shows and more. Special guests include an exclusive performance by singer-songwriter Jacob Moon, a revealing and insightful presentation by long-time RUSH crew member Tony "Jack Secret" Geranios and a panel discussion by media-historian and discoverer of RUSH, Donna Halper.

Locations: RushCon Toronto will take place at the Courtyard by Marriott at 475 Yonge, Toronto. Special convention rate for RushCon attendees is available on first-come first serve basis. Book directly with the hotel (800) 847-5075 using the code "RushCon" to get the discounted rate.

Las Vegas is a one-day only event, to be held at Hooters Casino at 115 E Tropicana, Las Vegas. Hooters is a short walk from the MGM so attendees can get to that night's RUSH concert in a matter of minutes. While a group rate is not available for this event, traveling fans can contact Hooters directly for room reservations at (866) LVHOOTS.
