SAHG: Oslo Concert To Be Filmed For Upcoming DVD
January 9, 2009SAHG, the Norwegian heavy rockers who feature in their ranks members of GORGOROTH, MANNGARD and AUDREY HORNE, will have their January 16 concert at Rockefeller in Oslo, Norway filmed for a live DVD. The footage will be released as bonus material for the band's next studio album, due later this year.
SAHG's sophomore album, "Sahg II", was released on March 18, 2008 via Regain Records.
While the band's 2006 debut, "Sahg I", established the band as a force to be reckoned with in doom metal, "Sahg II" proves the band's staying power. Taking inspiration from the forefathers of all things heavy — BLACK SABBATH — SAHG creates its own interpretation of retro, trippy, heavy music, based around memorable, ear-catching riffs.
The "Pyromancer" video, which was shot on January 26-27 with director Asle Birkeland (who has previously created clips for ENSLAVED and AUDREY HORNE),can be viewed below. According to the band, "the script is loaded with prophetic mystique and blazing sorcery, and [is] a vivid visualisation of the song's theme on supernatural spiritual powers."
