SAHG: Photos From Recording Studio Posted Online
October 14, 2007SAHG, the Norwegian heavy rockers who feature in their ranks members of GORGOROTH, MANNGARD and AUDREY HORNE, are currently mixing their second album, which will be titled "Sahg II", with renowned producer and ex-ANTHRAX guitarist Rob Caggiano. Caggiano has recorded and produced a wide range of artists, from CRADLE OF FILTH to BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN. "After hearing the first rough recordings, he requested strongly to mix the album," SAHG said in a statement. "We were excited to give it a go, and are happy to see that he was the right man for the job."

SAHG premiered a new song — "Ascent to Decadence" — from the group's upcoming album at the five-year-anniversary celebration/party for "Pyro", a Norwegian hard rock radio show, at Hulen in Bergen, Norway. Watch video footage of the performance below.
SAHG's second album will be released before the end of the year via Regain Records. The band was assisted in the studio by Brynjulv Guddal, who was doing triple duty as drummer, engineer and co-producer. Other songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Pyromancer", "Echoes Ring Forever" and "From Conscious Sleep".
SAHG was voted "Norwegian Band of the Year" by the listeners of the hard rock show "Pyro", which airs on Norway's national radio station NRK P3. SAHG reportedly received more votes than such other bands as SATYRICON, I and KEEP OF KALESSIN.
SAHG's debut album, "Sahg 1", was released in July 2006 via Candlelight Records.
Taking influence from classics — PENTAGRAM, ELECTRIC WIZARD, KYUSS and MONSTER MAGNET (to name a few) — it has been said SAHG rock with a groove that would "make John Bonham proud!"
