SAKREFIX Signs With METALHIT.COM

June 30, 2008

Texas black metallers SAKREFIX have signed with Metalhit.com for the release of their full-length debut, "In Shadow's Embrace". The CD was recorded in Austin, Texas by Kristoph, songwriter and drummer of VESPERIAN SORROW, and mastered in Bergen, Norway, by Ivar Bjørnson, guitarist for extreme metal legends ENSLAVED.

Metalhit.com handles digital distribution for such artists as HOD, BETHLEHEM, ARSIS, and EQUIMANTHORN.

Formed as a solo studio project in 2005 by Hadrian, formerly of BLACK WOLF SAKRIFICE, SAKREFIX's sound is "characterized by a bleak implementation of contrasting and often harmonizing dual melodies while frequent tempo changes and colorful tones paint a dynamic canvas of hatred and turmoil," according to the band's official bio. "SAKREFIX has a readily identifiable sound, and a character all its own, but, as a living expression of art, with each release, the herald of ruin will grow and reach to new levels of expression musically, as new material constantly demonstrates; it has become clear that SAKREFIX is a living, breathing entity and will carve its own artery of expression. Lyrically, SAKREFIX can be best described as the culmination of its members’ opposition to Western culture and all organized religion; it is a declaration of war against the weak consumerist norms, and it is the prophecy of our inevitable collapse. The namesake of SAKREFIX is synonymous with the end; it is the end of everything the unremarkable take for granted."
