April 27, 2006

Israeli death metallers SALEM have had the footage from their "Live Demise" DVD purchased by Hot, Israel's cable TV, and made available on the V.O.D. channel. According to a posting on the band's web site, "SALEM is up there along with some big mainstream names like PHIL COLLINS, STING, THE WHO etc., so we feel very accomplished and wishes to send our gratitude to all parties involved in making this happen. Especially, Haim Gozaly and Master Disk, who are also responsible for the 'Live Demise' DVD experience."

"Live Demise" features a full-length concert filmed on July 9, 2003 at Barbie in Tel Aviv (presented in 5.1, 2.0 and DTS mixes),seven promotional videos ("Act of War", "Al Taster", "Broken yet United", "Fear of the Future", "Ha'ayara Bo'eret", "Masquerade in Claustrophobia" and "Slave"),"making of" footage of both "Collective Demise" and "Live Demise", various outtakes, and a 12-page, full-color booklet.

SALEM's latest album, "Strings Attached", was released in Israel in June 2005. The CD contains songs from the band's past repertoire and one brand new song, all re-arranged and performed with one of the most respected all-girl string quartets in Israel. Also featured on the CD are a remake of the SALEM classic "Old Wounds", featuring guest appearances by the lead vocalists of ETERNAL GRAY, ARALLU, BARTHOLOMEUS NIGHT, MOONSKIN, LEHAVOTH, MATRICIDE, SPAWN OF EVIL, SOLITARY and HANGMAN.
