SALEM To Deliver 'Massive And Violent Set Of Songs' At Tel Aviv Concert
December 15, 2006Long-running Israeli death metallers SALEM will perform at the Barbie Club in Tel Aviv on January 11, 2007. The band promises to deliver "a massive and violent set of songs, covering material from all releases, something they wanted to do since their last 'civilized' concert with the ISCQ string quartet last year," reads a posting on the group's web site.
SALEM recently inked a deal with France's Season of Mist. The group is currently recording its new album, "Necessary Evil", tentatively due in early 2007. According to the band, the new material is "modern, dark, highly unique" and "heavier" than their previous efforts. The follow-up to 2005's "Strings Attached", which will be a double album, will include a 27-minute piece entitled "Once Upon a Lifetime Parts I - V". Part 1 of the track is available for listening at the band's official MySpace profile. Part 2 will follow shortly.
As previously reported, a six-part documentary about SALEM has been posted online at YouTube.com. Check it out:
