SAMAEL Cancel SUMMER BREEZE Appearance

January 18, 2005

Switzerland's SAMAEL have cancelled their previously announced appearance at Germany's Summer Breeze festival A statement on the matter from the festival's organizers reads as follows:

"After initially confirming their participation in Summer Breeze 2005, the band SAMAEL has now cancelled their appearance! We had already agreed on the conditions of their booking. However, after it had been made public on our homepage and in the press, the band suddenly wanted to change the conditions, threatening not to play if their demands weren't met. This left us no other choice but to cancel their gig. We believe this is not the way to work together and we hope that you, the fan, will understand our decision."

Summer Breeze is scheduled to be held August 18-20 in Abtsgmünd, Germany.
