SAMMY HAGAR Spreading The Word On His Tequila While On Tour

June 22, 2006

Launch Radio Networks reports: Sammy Hagar's having a blast on tour, playing his hits and doing a VAN HALEN set with bassist Michael Anthony as THE OTHER HALF, and he's also finding time to promote his Cabo Wabo line of premium tequila. He's not interested in sitting in an office having formal meetings, but Hagar told Launch he does connect with folks in his own way. "I throw parties when I go on tour, so that the people that go out and sell the tequila in the different cities, I invite 'em to the shows, and they bring down the bartenders, and the... you know, it's all kinda part of the whole thing," he said. "And I just meet people, and we talk about it, and we do a couple of shots together, and they go, 'Hey, we love selling your product!' And I'm going, 'I love it too! It's the best tequila in the world!'"

The next stop on Hagar's "Livin' It Up" tour is Saturday (June 24) at the Starwood Amphitheatre in Antioch, Tennessee.

Hagar's new album, which is also called "Livin' It Up", comes out July 25.
