SANCTUARY Strikes Deal With Digital Distributor To Handle MOTÖRHEAD Catalog
January 29, 2007According to Hits Daily Double, the financially troubled Sanctuary Music Group, which is reportedly seeking to sell off some of its assets, struck a deal with The Orchard for the digital distributor to handle both catalog and front-line releases, including those from MOTÖRHEAD, IDLEWILD, THE FALL and DOLORES O’RIORDAN, among 60,000 digital tracks, by the end of the first quarter, and the distribution of 360 priority albums this year. The Orchard will focus on digital distribution initiatives outside of the U.K. and the U.S. Aside from distribution to digital music stores, The Orchard will also position Sanctuary releases for synchronization within motion pictures, television shows, commercials and new media productions.
