SANGRE ETERNA Featuring CHRIS KONTOS: East Cast Dates Scheduled In May

SANGRE ETERNA, the new Oakland, California–based metal band featuring drummer Chris Kontos (ex-MACHINE HEAD, TESTAMENT, ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT, VERBAL ABUSE) and bassist Sean Smithson (SACRILEGE BC, GRINCH, THE UNCALLED FOUR),have scheduled several live appearances during the coming months. "First it's Yuba City, CA. at the Town Pump (with in-store at The Underground record store from 2-3pm) with MUDFACE, featuring Ted Agular from DEATH ANGEL, plus guest PUREFIRE," the group write in a press release. "Then April 15th with EXODUS at Bourbon St. in Concord, CA. with FULL BLOWN CHAOS / THE CLASSIC STRUGLE / 2ND CLASS CITIZENS. Next it's out to do a week of dates from May 10th - 17th on the East Coast with SUB ZERO / BRICK BY BRICK!!!! This will be the first tour for SANGRE ETERNA in '06. They return just in time to play another gig with the mighty EXODUS at the Pound SF on May 19th with CRYPTOPSY / IMMOLATION / TBA guest."

As previously reported, SANGRE ETERNA recently launched their official MySpace page at this location. Currently available for streaming on the site are four demo cuts from the group's "Swine of the Times" EP: "Trapped", "Swine of the Times", "Ceremony" and "Niraya".

Commented Kontos: "The time is prime for some crushing metal from the Bay Area... and NOT just a project, 'scrap metal' I call it... with this guy from this band, and that guy from that band. No, thanks! This is a real band — one with guts, drive, heart, and we are damned ready to bring it out raw and fast to you."

SANGRE ETERNA's curent lineup is completed by guitarists John Forcina and Ryo Shibata, along with vocalist Karl Fisher.
