SARACEN Confirmed For Britain's BLOODSTOCK 2003

SARACEN lead the final batch of British bands gearing up for this year's Bloodstock festival, a two-day event set to take place Aug. 29-30, 2003 at the Assembly Rooms in Derby, U.K.

Little is known about SARACEN other than they released two albums in the early '80s as part of the NWOBHM (New Wave Of British Heavy Metal),their debut being the classic "Heroes Saints and Fools", which at the time of its release outsold many leading metal bands' LPs in the Midlands, including IRON MAIDEN's "Number of the Beast"! Their new CD "Red Sky", released just a couple of months ago, sees the band reforming and producing another classic slab of British rock, with Bloodstock 2003 being the group's first show in over 18 years.

Other bands newly confirmed for Bloodstock 2003 are SNATCH, 5TH MAN DOWN, ILLUMINATUS, NINEDENINE, CRUEL HUMANITY, and BUMSNOGGER.

The complete lineup for Bloodstock 2003 comprises 21 bands:
