SARCOLYTIC To Release Debut Album In August

June 29, 2009

SARCOLYTIC, the Austin, Texas-based band featuring Ricky Myers of DISGORGE along with Steven Watkins, Mark Denton and Jon Zig of IMAGES OF VIOLENCE, has posted a new song, "The Seed Of All Beginnings", on the group's MySpace page. The track comes off SARCOLYTIC's debut album, "Thee Arcane Progeny", which will be released on August 25 via Unique Leader Records. According to the band, the CD features "nine blistering tracks, entailing the 14 tablets deciphered from the lost book of Enki, by Zecharia Sitchin."

SARCOLYTIC was forged in late 2003 as a side project of IMAGES OF VIOLENCE members and Ricky Myers of DISGORGE. They wrote and released a three-song EP on Lacerated Enemy Records in 2004, and contributed two songs to the Ossuary Industries Records four-way split entitled "Limb Splitter" alongside DEVOURMENT, GODLESS TRUTH, and Steven Watkins' project, SECT OF EXECRATION.
